Since we were in the middle of a complete home remodel, Harper’s room was a blank slate. And by blank slate I mean G was re-sheetrocking/texturing/trimming and painting the entire thing (much like the rest of or house- but that’s a story for a whole other post). With some help from both our parents during the holidays, Harper’s room was ready for her arrival and G and I are thrilled with the way everything came together!
Theme: I’m notorious for going with white, grey and black for pretty much anything color related and when it came to planning a nursery, 90% of my inspiration images were white and grey. My mom asked me one day if the room would have any color and something inside me clicked. I went in a completely different direction than I’m used to and late one night, I put together a theme board (see below) based on this print that I knew I had to have.
Walls: I had hoped to wallpaper one wall of the nursery but couldn’t find one in the color scheme I planned to use, so I went with these wall decals that I purchased in three different colors. They were so easy to apply and they lay so perfectly on the wall that almost everyone who sees the room in person asks if I hand painted each dot on there.
Furniture/Decor: Shopping for Harper’s nursery was difficult where we live. We are countless miles/hours away from any stores that would have things we liked so I had to find everything online. Somehow everything we got online all came in matching perfectly!
(Yes, this board says “Option 2” because I’m a little OCD obsessed when it comes to planning and I needed to see my visions all laid out with pricing and where to purchase)
