My sister Haley is getting married in July so this past weekend I threw her bachelorette party in Houston. Why Houston, you ask? The weekend that worked out for most of the bridesmaids just so happened to be the same weekend that Beyonce was coming back to her hometown to wow her fans with a life changing production. It was a sign from the beyhive Gods themselves!

Haley is a huge Beyonce fan so I made sure that we honored Queen Bey in the decor, party favors and treats. My favorite part of the weekend (besides the concert and seeing the smile on the cute brides face) was surprising the bridesmaids with a custom Snapchat geofilter made to look like Haley as Beyonce from “Single Ladies”. People even stopped us in the hotel to say that they loved the filter or to ask to meet the infamous Haley!

Welcome to #RNFC

Office- Styling RNFC

I can’t believe today is finally here! I cannot thank you all enough for your interest and support in the launch of Rian Nichole Fashion Consulting. My heart is full knowing that I have the best family, friends and followers who encourage me daily to pursue the things I love the most. I am thrilled to share my new business/site with you and I hope you’ll let me know what you think.

I have loved fashion for as long as I can remember. My family jokes that my mother may have gone into labor unexpectedly after mentioning her shopping to-do list. I was ready to swipe that card from day one! In middle school, I remember my parents asking me what I had learned that day while sitting around the dinner table and the only information I could offer was details of my teachers outfit choices.

I classify myself as a self-diagnosed shopping addict but I feel like that is too specific for my particular disease. I am a fashion addict. Shopping, reading fashion magazines, following style bloggers and styling are just a few of my guilty pleasures. Luckily, I am able to share my experience in the fashion industry with you now, not only through my blog, but also in a much bigger way. Please see my  Fashion Consulting and For Brides tabs for information about my services.

Lauren of Blue Eye Brown Eye // Kendi of Kendi Everyday // Amanda of Amanda Marie // Shalyn of So Shay

Instagram is full of daily inspiration. I follow fashionistas, artists and photographers and I must say, the girls featured above are some of my faves. Not only are these ladies creative geniuses, they are also Texas gals. What a combo!

1. @laurenessl – Lauren is a calligraphy & letterpress professional who creates amazing works of art on the reg. I had the honor of meeting her a few years ago at an event and found that she is one of the sweetest, trendiest people I have ever met. Eventually, I took my bravery to a whole new level and took a calligraphy class from her. Although my penmanship looks nothing like/will never look like hers, it was so fun to watch her write beautifully with complete and utter ease.

2. @kendieveryday – Kendi is the owner of Bloom boutique in McKinney and she shares many the items that can be found on her shelves in her fabulous outfit posts on her blog. She is a smart shopper with affordable looks that you will want to copy over and over again.

3. @amandamarielackey – Amanda and I have quite a few mutual friends, so it was only fitting that we be social media besties, right? She is a photographer, a blogger and a stylist who has incredible style and a creative mind one can only dream of.

4. @shalynnelson – She has a pet hedgehog. Need I say more?! I was lucky enough to stumble upon Shalyn’s Instagram after following Amanda. She is cocreator of The Glow Workshop with Amanda & luckily, I will be participating in this incredible event that will surely be a special day. I can’t wait to spend time with these ladies and meet Shalyn in person!

Get Ready for Work in 30 Minutes

leather6Anyone who knows me knows that I love my sleep. I love weekend naps and sleeping in, so it has taken me some time to get adjusted to my new commute and early wake up call. Here are a few things I do to make my mornings go much more smoothly and get you ready for work in 30 minutes. Yes, I said 30 minutes.

1. Lay your clothes out the night before. I spent most of my time staring at the clothing racks in my closet in the morning, trying on things and constantly changing my mind. Now, I pick out my outfit the night before so I don’t make time to change my mind. I even lay it out in the living room so it’s far away from the closet.

2. Pack a lunch the night before. For days that I am not planning on grabbing lunch with friends or coworkers, I pack a lunch the night before so I can grab it on my way out the door.

3. Do the majority of your hair the night before. Personally, I like to go to bed feeling fresh and clean, so I shower at night and try to get the blowdrying and basic taming/curling done before I hit the pillow. I typically curl it and throw it up in a top knot for bed so when I take it out in the morning, there is a little extra wave.

4. Cut down your beauty routine. If you’re anything like me, you are a sucker for the beauty counters and have more products that you use on a regular basis. I have separated the makeup I use every day in one bag so I don’t have to rifle through my Mary Poppins-like bag of beauty goods. (My BB cream has become my best friend. I can use it as a primer, concealer and foundation.)

I know it sounds like a lot of work the night before, but trust me – that extra 30 minutes of beauty sleep will change your life.

I highly recommend that you spend some time this weekend checking out these Instagram accounts. These girls are trendy with killer blogs and they post tons of inspirational outfit ideas. Scrolling through their photos makes it hard not to go purchase every item that they wear, but I am slowly starting to practice self control. Enjoy!

Happy Weekend, y’all!
